New SaaS Service from StarForce Technologies Helps Safeguard e-Documents

The digital format has currently become a standard for books, educational programs and training courses. Many users are looking for ways to protect eDocuments from unauthorized access, illegal copying, sharing and printing.

In response to such needs, StarForce Technologies has announced a new SaaS (News - Alert) service that allows users to protect digital documents and track their distribution in real-time.

Designed for use by individuals and companies, this new service enables users to stop worrying about leakage and pirate distribution of documents and content and supports a variety of file formats including PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, and GIF.

Users can easily protect any document and even assign an expiration date. Users can also specify the regions where the document can be used and can restrict the printing option.

The protected file comes with a serial number (password), which allows the end-user to open the document only on the PC, where the serial number is activated and that same document can only be opened on another PC using a new serial number.

“The problems of piracy and loss of confidential information do not lose their relevance over the years," says Natalia Yashenkova, head of Marketing and PR at StarForce Technologies. "And the real challenge is connected with the documents that leave the perimeter of an enterprise information system. These can be documents sent to customers, partners and other participants in the business process.”

For more than decade, StarForce has been successfully developing and implementing ultra-modern technological means for copyright and intellectual property protection worldwide. The company says it can  provide reliable copy protection of digital information and content, including PDF, DOC, PPT and HTML files.
