NTT Communications Selects Oracle's Engineered Systems

NTT Communications (News - Alert) Corporation, a long-distance, international communications and ICT solution provider, has selected Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Oracle Exadata Database Machine to deploy a real-time network monitoring system. With this, NTT Communications is looking to improve the quality of its network services.

Other benefits NTT is looking to derive include improvement in predictive failure detection and workload efficiency. Like any other company, NTT is making continuous efforts to improve customer satisfaction and the company believes that advanced operating services are a way to achieve the same.

To provide enhanced customer satisfaction levels, NTT was looking to enhance its network traffic monitoring abilities and also be able to perform advanced data analytics. But the previous system could not give what NTT was looking for and hence this change by the company.

The solution provided by Oracle (News - Alert) includes Oracle Fusion Middleware products, Oracle Exalogic, Oracle Coherence, Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Event Processing. Combined, this new solution from Oracle can provide efficient predictive failure detection as they have the ability to process 1.4 million packets per second through in-memory streaming. Oracle has also recognized NTT Communications as one of the winners of the 2013 Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Awards for Oracle Exalogic. Oracle is one of the exhibitors that will be attending the ITEXPO, from January 28-31 in Miami, Florida.

“As the leading telecommunication company in the world, we want to provide our customers with the best possible quality of service. By deploying Oracle Engineered Systems we wanted to not only improve our network services but also increase our ability to predict potential failures and maximize workload efficiency,” said Tetsuya Funabashi, Senior Vice President, NTT Communications Corporation. “We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the deployment happened. Because the Oracle Engineered Systems are designed to work together they are high performance, scalable and very efficient.”

Recently, the company introduced Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud X4-2, which further enhances Oracle's leadership in offering Engineered Systems.
