AccuRev, a major provider of application lifecycle software solutions, recently released a plug-in for the Jenkins open source continuous integration tool.
Software developers, with the help of AccuRev Plug-In for Jenkins, can successfully leverage both AccuRev’s Streams technology and Jenkins’ build tools.
Owing to this they can also enhance continuous integration automation strategies, expand pipeline capabilities and further streamline the software development process.
“We remain dedicated to sharing with the Jenkins open source community, and this updated plug-in demonstrates our support for their software development initiatives,” said Larry Ayres, vice president of engineering at AccuRev, in a press statement. “We are committed to helping developers as they strive to achieve their continuous integration and delivery goals.”
Officials said that the newly released plug-in successfully integrates with AccuRev 5.7 and 6.x versions. It simplifies the user interface for configuring server settings for the plug-in and provides in-line help for server, depot and stream options.
AccuRev Plug-In for Jenkins not only identifies timeouts but also ensures logins are established prior to running AccuRev commands.
Available for download immediately from the Jenkins open source community, the new plug-in supplies users with a list of depots populated during job configuration.
Operating plug-ins, using reference tree structures and displaying directory listings when populating build structures are some of the other enhancements and benefits that the new plug-in offers.
Few days back, TMCnet reported that AccuRev has introduced AccuSync for HP Application Lifecycle Manager, which is considered suitable for organizations to escalate alertness, reliability and quality of their distributed and parallel software development environments.
