IT Monitoring Firm Anturis $2 Million Richer

IT Monitoring Firm Anturis just got a $2 million vote of confidence from Runa Capital and VEB Innovation, who together have invested $2 million in the firm that pitches its wares at SMBs.

The company hopes for a bigger international footprint for its monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

One of the founders of Anturis is no slouch. Serguei Beloussov also founded virtualization company Parallels and Acronis which does storage. Beloussov also started up Runa Capital.

Anturis has a range of monitoring tools from checking on Web sites to detailed tracking of software and servers.

The cash will drive global expansion and fuel product research and sales and marketing initiatives. The investors think it is money well spent as the market for around the clock IT monitoring is worth about $2 billion. Anturis believes it has the features of highly expensive monitoring offerings in a form that SMBs can afford and operate. The Anturis product launched earlier this year.

“Our mission is to keep the IT infrastructure of millions of businesses around the world up and running every minute of the day,” said Sergey Nevstruev, Anturis CEO. “To accomplish this we have painstakingly developed the ideal solution, both comprehensive but simple to administer. With this round of funding, we will expand our worldwide reach and help eliminate ‘downtime’ from the business vocabulary.”

Runa buys into that notion. “Today, website and network uptime is critical for most businesses," said Dmitry Chikhachev, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Runa Capital. “Anturis brings a solution that is comprehensive but simple to use and does not require a big IT department. We see large potential in Anturis and have a long-term goal to make it the number one monitoring service for the soon to be $1 trillion SMB software market.”
