Telguard, Videofied Team Up on Video Verified Platform

Telguard and Videofied have signed an original equipment manufacturer partnership in hopes of accelerating the adoption of video-verified alarms.

Under this partnership, Telguard, a division of wireless solutions provider Telular (News - Alert), will private-label Videofied’s indoor video-verification platform. In addition, when combining it with Telguard’s cellular service, it will enable dealers with both commercial and residential accounts to upgrade new and existing security systems to deliver prioritized responses.

The Telguard video verification solution has been built on cutting edge technology and sends a video clip of the actual incident to the central station for immediately review and dispatch. Later, the central station operator becomes a virtual eyewitness, allowing police to respond to a video-verified alarm as a crime-in-progress.

Dealers can buy this solution as a starter kit. The video verification starter kit, which includes a Telguard Video Verification Hub (TG-V2H) and an indoor wireless Telguard MotionViewer (TG-IMV) with integrated camera and motion sensor, presents a lot of value for dealers from an upgrade standpoint, because the platform costs the same to install as a wireless PIR and the same to monitor as a blind alarm.

Keith Jentoft, president of RSI Video Technologies said, “Affordable monitoring costs are crucial to dealers seeking to offer Priority Response. Together with Telguard and our preferred indoor monitoring partners, we can provide video verification monitoring at the same cost as a traditional alarm. By partnering with a strong company like Telguard, known for exceptional customer service, we bring to the security industry an easy, secure and robust way to meet the demand for video verification in an age when customers expect immediate alarm response.”

Shawn Welsh, vice president of marketing and business development at Telular, said in a statement, “An affordable, turnkey video verification solution adds tremendous value to any security system, particularly those in the commercial market, by delivering priority response and reducing false alarms.”
