Internap and Aerospike Collaborate To Launch Integrated Solution for Accelerated Big Data Performance

Internap (News - Alert) Network Services Corporation are collaborating with Aerospike to launch an integrated solution that will create the market’s only ‘fast big data’ platform. This will be made possible by bringing together Aerospike’s innovative NoSQL database on Internap’s AgileSERVER bare-metal cloud. Internap offer a number of high-performance hosting services while Aerospike offers a flash-optimised, in-memory NoSQL database.

This collaborative and innovative solution will now assist developers to easily implement applications that require a reliable, high performance yet cost-effective hosted environment. This new solution will now help a number of companies and industries to make quality decisions because they will now have the ability to analyze, check and validate terabytes of data from billions of transactions.

“As a global big data provider delivering insights that enable digital advertisers to make smarter marketing decisions, we sought a real-time, low-latency cloud platform and a NoSQL database that could deliver reliable data across our global footprint at a reasonable cost to meet massive scale demands of between six to seven billion events per day,” said Elad Efraim, chief technology officer and co-founder, eXelate. “Combining the cost-effective, high performance of Internap’s bare-metal cloud and Aerospike’s NoSQL database, we were able to accomplish programmatic scaling of our infrastructure to support one trillion real-time data transactions monthly for more than 200 marketers and publishers worldwide – giving us an edge to compete in today’s high-speed, data-driven Internet economy.”

This new Internap-Aerospike fast big data solution brings together Internap’s high performance bare-metal cloud which has the ability to deliver up to eight times better server performance over virtualised alternatives and comes with a pre-configured installation of Aerospike’s flash-optimised, in-memory NoSQL database.

Srini V. Srinivasan, Aerospike founder and vice president of engineering and operations said “The Aerospike database is designed to meet the needs of a new class of Internet-scale applications that must personalise consumer interactions based on what customers are doing with their devices right now. Our integrated solution with Internap’s bare-metal cloud will ease time to market for our customers and allow them to operate at speed and scale twice as cost effectively as they could with virtualised public cloud offerings.”

Since this is a collaborative solution, those qualified customers from Aerospike’s free community Edition will be able to avail a two-week free trial of Internap’s bare-metal cloud so that they can actually measure the performance results and then make a quality decision.
