Broadsoft, Inc., a global powerhouse specializing in Voice over IP (VoIP) communication services, has appointed a new vice president of carrier sales, focused in the North American region. His name is Jeffrey Pearl, and he has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications biz.
Pearl's specialty is building and managing high performance sales organizations. In his most recent professional role, Pearl was a partner at wizBang Communications, a provider of cloud-based phone systems for family, friends, clubs and virtual and mobile workforces. During his time there, Pearl specialized in moving residential telephone numbers to the cloud and residential VoIP services.
He's also a proven entrepreneur with a solid track record of successful endeavors. In 2006, he co-founded IP5280 (News - Alert) Communications, a cloud based IP communications provider that was scooped up by MegaPath Corporation in 2012. Back in 2004, he co-founded LineSider Communications in 2004, a firm that engineered secure VoIP communications. It was later bought by Cisco.
For Patrick Joggerst, vice president of global sales for BroadSoft (News - Alert), Pearl was a stellar find. The executive, who has held his current role for over a year, commends Pearl's “rare blend of experience understanding the needs of both service providers and enterprises,” adding: “[Pearl] has successfully managed and scaled high performing sales organizations focused on converged IP communications, Cloud services and other innovative technologies."
As for Pearl, a resident of Englewood, Colo., he indicates he's been spellbound by Broadsoft's advancements, and remarks on having watched for years, “the transformative impact BroadSoft's innovative Unified Communications technologies and solutions are having within enterprises."
According to Pearl's LinkedIn (News - Alert) profile, he's been occupying the role of vice president, carrier sales, North America for the past four months.
Broadsoft has been at dominant force in the IP telephone industry for the past decade, and currently empowers more than 500 telecommunications service providers' networks.
