Type I SSAE 16 (SOC 1) Compliance Certificate Achieved by Lam Cloud Management

Lam Cloud Management has announced that it has completed a Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) Controls at a Service Organization (SOC 1) Type 1 examination for its Colocation Services.

SSAE No. 16 is an attestation standard put forth by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB (News - Alert)) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that addresses engagements undertaken by a service auditor for reporting on controls at organizations. The audit clearly examines the controls and critical processes involved in financial reporting as well as storing, handling, and transmitting data securely.

Lam Cloud provides premium services such as firewalled private clouds, managed cloud hosting, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, cloud-based productivity tools, website hosting and more. The audit at Lam was done in accordance with the AICPA SOC reporting standards and was conducted by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc., an independent licensed Certified Public Accounting firm.

The company went through a very demanding and independent audit of its control objectives and activities relating to: oversight by executive management; risk assessment; monitoring activities; information and communication systems; physical and environmental security; and other supporting areas.

After a thorough analysis, the organization received a Service Auditors' Report which stated that the given information was clear and had no exceptions.
