Vivante's GC1000 to Power Marvell ARMADA 1500-mini

Vivante Corporation has entered into a strategic collaboration with Marvell (News - Alert) Semiconductor Inc. Marvell’s ground-breaking ARMADA 1500-mini multi-screen offering will now be powered by Vivante’s GC1000. Vivante is a provider of the tiniest, quickest and coolest GC or graphics and compute series IP cores currently available.

The manner in which users can watch and stream content from the cloud has been altered by the ARMADA 1500-mini. Users are now offered the immersive multimedia experience everywhere, across multiple screens at home or even while on the move. User experience has been improved by the incorporated low power GC1000 GPU and Composition Co-processor or CPC (News - Alert), which provides intricate 3D graphics rendering and dynamic extremely sleek UIs.

In a statement, Gaurav Shah, vice president of marketing for Smart TV Business Unit at Marvell Semiconductor said, "We believe the introduction of ARMADA 1500-mini will revolutionize the way we consume content in the home by seamlessly streaming cloud content from applications like YouTube, Netflix and Google (News - Alert) Play to any screen in the home. With Vivante's GPU core, consumers can enjoy secure 1080p video streaming that includes 3D gameplay and extensions that support an immersive UI experience."

According to Wei-Jin Dai, president and CEO of Vivante, the GC1000 powered ARMADA 1500-mini is a finest example of the manner in which Vivante collaborates with major associates like Marvell in order to offer remarkable products with the newest innovations and APIs. These advances can be seen, felt and experience by the general public.

Dai said, "This collaboration expands Vivante's developer ecosystem and allows GC Core developers to access mainstream platforms they can build advanced applications on for home and mobile multimedia built around the ARMADA product line."

Vivante Corporation is a major organization offering multi-core GPU, OpenCL, CPC Composition Engine and Vector Graphics IP solutions. These solutions deliver maximum performance and lowest power characteristics across an array of Khronos Group API compliant standards based on the ScalarMorphic architecture.
