Harris Broadcast Fortifies Executive Team

Harris Broadcast is all set to reveal the organization’s latest vision and strategy at IBC 2013. The organization had recently overhauled its executive team with the appointments of Steve Foreman and Jeff Liening in senior management roles. While Foreman has been appointed as president of global operations and services, Liening has been named senior vice president of global sales operations.

In a statement, Charlie Vogt (News - Alert), CEO of Harris Broadcast, said, “With our customers and partners facing significant technology and industry transformations, Harris Broadcast is aggressively focused on shaping our vision, product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy to address these unique challenges and opportunities. We are uniquely positioned in the marketplace with more than 3,000 customers worldwide, powerful patents and a leading solutions portfolio, while our new, independent ownership structure is fueling customer-focus and an entrepreneurial culture. The investments we are making in our leadership team build on the company’s strong base to better serve our customers and the industry.”

Foreman has exclusive, international experience in operations, transformation and supply chain management. Prior to Harris Broadcast, Foreman was employed with Texas Pacific Group or TPG, where he held the post of a senior advisor for seven years, and supported management teams during strategic and operational makeovers, like Freescale (News - Alert) Semiconductor, Avaya and Armstrong Worldwide Industries.

Foreman said, “The combination of Harris Broadcast’s leadership team, market opportunity and competitive strengths creates a truly outstanding opportunity and I am thrilled to join Charlie Vogt’s management team at this exciting time. I look forward to leveraging my strengths in operations and supply chain management to accelerate our plans.”

Prior to Harris Broadcast, Liening was employed with GENBAND, where he held the post of senior vice president of global sales operations. He has also held several sales management posts at Sycamore Networks (News - Alert), Lucent Technologies, Ascend Communications and Cascade Communications.

According to Liening, the customer base of Harris Broadcast is one of the best. He is happy to be a part of this organization and will support Charlie’s vision for boosting the customer alignment and objectives of the sales operation.

IBC 2013 will be held at RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam from September 13-17, where Harris Broadcast will be present at Stand 7.G20.
