CDNetworks Expands Cloud Security with Addition of 140 Points of Presence

A provider of multinational highest performing global content delivery network (CDN), CDNetworks has expanded its cloud security. The company has included the distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection to the global network of 140 Points of Presence (PoPs).

CDNetworks DDoS protection is real-time network attack prevention solution that is capable of detects, absorbs, and defends against attack traffic, so the impact is minimized.

CDNetworks DDoS protection has been first released Korea in 2008. It has ability to block malicious attacks and prevent critical business disruptions. CDNetworks DDoS protection has mitigated attacks for close to 50 customers, including government websites, gaming sites, and multinational consumer goods, the company said.

CDNetworks’ 140 PoPs enables its customers tto absorb massive amounts of attack traffic for customers located anywhere. It filters malicious traffic while legitimate traffic continues to flow to customer websites, reducing any impact on end-users and revenue.

Forrester Research, Inc. report written by Principal Analyst John Kindervag, “Bank of America, MasterCard, PayPal (News - Alert), Sony, Visa, and many more of the world's largest companies have all been victims of DDoS attacks.  Presently, these unpredictable attacks continue to grow by the day and the organizations need to protect their critical systems from these types of incidents.
