LexisNexis Legal & Professional Releases Version 2.6 of Juris Software

LexisNexis (News - Alert) Legal & Professional, a provider of content and technology solutions, has released version 2.6 of its Juris accounting and financial management software for mid-sized law firms.

Officials with LexisNexis said that the company has integrated Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook in Juris 2.6.

“Most law firm attorneys and timekeepers literally live in email; from discussing matters with clients – to scheduling important deadlines and keeping track of tasks,” said Loretta Ruppert, senior director for Law Firm Practice Management at LexisNexis, in a statement.

Ruppert said that this integration with Microsoft Outlook puts the attorney or legal professional in control by giving them access to the information they need without having to leave the very place where they get their work done.

Company officials said that Juris for Microsoft Outlook is an add-in that sits unobtrusively on the side of an Outlook window. The add-in automatically brings related client and matter data, and time entry capabilities, into the place where legal professionals work the most.

Juris for Microsoft Outlook provides the ability to-Automatically view details on a relevant client or matter record without leaving Outlook; Search for specific client or matter information from within Outlook and Enter billable time associated with a client or matter directly into Juris Suite.

Earlier in May, LexisNexis Legal & Professional had announced that its industry-leading legal drafting solution, Lexis for Microsoft Office now integrates with Lexis Advance.

With the advanced features, functionality and content of Lexis Advance, Lexis for Microsoft Office now offers users even more options to quickly surface relevant results directly within their legal drafting process, streamline their workflow and improve the quality of their work product – directly embedded within Microsoft® Word and Outlook®.
