Inspur Group Partners with Nanyang Technological University

China’s cloud computing market is predicted to grow at an annual rate of 50 percent in the next few years. So, companies in this country are forming new partnerships to introduce new products and services in the cloud.

China's Inspur Group has announced that the company has partnered with Nanyang Technological University (NTU). This partnership agreement will have both Inspur Group and NTU working together on media cloud computing and smart multimedia search cloud platforms.

Inspur and NTU will come together to study and conduct a research on new-generation multimedia cloud computing technology. This project will be funded by the Singapore government. Inspur and NTU will also join hands to study smart media recognition and search technology at NTU's Rapid-Rich Object Search (ROSE) Lab.

Inspur Group expects to benefit significantly from this partnership as the company already has a strong foothold in cloud computing solutions in China. The company is the second largest Chinese proprietary brand IT provider and is also the biggest Chinese proprietary brand software manufacturer. The company has made optimum use of its cloud computing infrastructure and has successfully developed China's first large high-end server, Tiansuo K1 system.

Inspur caters to the requirements of customers looking for high-end server, mass storage, cloud operating system and information safety technology. The company caters to government affairs, enterprise, industry information-based software, terminal products and solution.

Inspur Group chairman and CEO Sun Pishu said, "Singapore used to be a major R&D base for Inspur. As a major bridgehead for Inspur's global development, Inspur will increase investment in Singapore with the setting up of both an R&D and a marketing center there, makingSingapore one of its major R&D and marketing centers in overseas markets.”
