Carbonite has built a bit of a reputation as being a company that will be able to keep its customers’ information and Internet files safe and secure. The company is known as one of the leading cloud backup companies in the world, both for small businesses and individuals. Now the company has announced that it is bringing an Enhanced Server Backup to the mix. This new solution is being billed as being able to offer the best of both worlds in that is has the speed of a local backup with the safety and security of the cloud.
Carbonite is now able to offer some truly safe and secure backup across all platforms, ranging from the traditional PC, Macs and mobile devices. Databases that include Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server, MySQL, Oracle (News

Carbonite is also able to help businesses because their backup service has no limits to the number or computers or databases that a company can back up. There is just one subscription for a company, so IT managers are not getting bogged down with trying to find different keys to different computers.
The problem that Carbonite customers have found over the last few years, is that backing up to the cloud can be a bit sluggish at times. That is why speed was the key focus when it came to coming up with the Enhanced Server Backup service. With this new solution, Carbonite says that you can back up files to the cloud at a speed that can go in excess of one gigabit per second. That data is still uploaded to the cloud with an SSL connection so customers can rest assured that it is still very much safe and sound.
