Now the company has announced that it is bringing an Enhanced Server Backup to the mix. This new solution is being billed as being able to offer the best of both worlds in that is has the speed of a local backup with the safety and security of the cloud.

Carbonite is now able to offer some truly safe and secure backup across all platforms, ranging from the traditional PC, Macs and mobile devices. Databases that include Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server, MySQL, Oracle (News - Alert), and SharePoint are now also usable with Carbonite thanks to its Enhanced Server Backup. Not only can users backup key files, they can also backup the Windows System State and Active directory.
