LaserLock Technologies Introduces Web-based Gaming Authentication Solution

LaserLock Technologies, Inc recently confirmed that it will very shortly release its Web-based gaming authentication product and make it available for purchase. The organization has just concluded comprehensive testing of its product and is happy with the results. LaserLock's VerifyMe and other technologies have been utilized by the multi-factor validation system in order to uncover the identity of Web-based gamers.

Presently, Web-based games only use passwords and PINs for validation. LaserLock Technologies’ latest validation system moves a step ahead and offers layers of protection to all involved in gaming.

In a statement, Neil Alpert, CEO, LaserLock Technologies, said, "As more states legalize online gaming, we are excited to bring our solution to market to protect both players and casinos from the risks of identity theft. Incorporating multiple layers of authentication is key to making online gaming secure, and our solution accomplishes this and is quick and easy to use."

Web-based gaming platforms can easily incorporate LaserLock’s multi-factor validation system. The system is founded on three very crucial validation factors, namely: something you know, something you are and something you have. The biggest risks associated with a particular technique of validation like a password or PIN are therefore decreased. The system tries to eliminate everything from malevolent identity theft to something as harmless as a child using their parents' tablet and gaming.

A user needs to complete a one-time registration process in order to use the system. A person's real identity will then be validated by the system. The user will be asked to input an exclusive, color-based gesture swipe as part of the validation factor – “something you know.” The solution concurrently executes a facial recognition scan as part of the validation factor – “something you are’.’ The solution also performs a mobile device-based geo-location tag (News - Alert) as part of the validation factor – “something you have.”

Michael R. Sonnenreich, chairman of the board, LaserLock Technologies, said, "There is significant hesitation on the part of lawmakers and the public to legalize online gaming, fearing it will open up a Pandora's (News - Alert) Box of problems. When our commercial-ready solution is utilized, in conjunction with our strong ethical gaming platform, it creates a more secure and acceptable alternative for both the player and the casino."
