mDialog Intros Smart Stream Platform for Radio

For a few years now, technology expert mDialog has been working with the largest media companies in North America to manage, deliver, and measure video advertising across IP-connected devices, including the iPad, iPhone, Android, GoogleTV, Apple (News - Alert) TV, Roku and Xbox.

The company has now launched its audio stream management service that utilizes Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) protocol to enable its users to have an uninterrupted sound quality while enjoying their favorite music, news, sports or weather programming through live streaming radio.

Apart from the best stream audio quality, mDialog guarantees an easy changeover from the radio stream to the revenue stream through its cloud-side ad insertion technology, increasing the ad break completion rate for live and on-demand radio programming.

"Radio has always been about local advertising, but inserting local ads in the context of the global audience the Internet provides is problematic, especially for live streaming radio,” said Greg Philpott, founder and CEO of mDialog. “mDialog solves this by inserting the ad stream into the radio stream in the cloud. Additionally our Stream SDKs for mobile devices like iOS and Android (News - Alert) are geo-aware. Now Internet Radio can be global in reach but local in targeted radio advertising."

The company has also made a provision for Internet Radio Programmers to use their existing Ad Decisioning Service (ADS) and they are also not limited to audio-only ad units.

A specialist in the concept of video stream management, mDialog has been using its Smart Stream Platform to dynamically deliver in-stream uniquely addressable advertising within linear, live and video-on-demand programming. The company’s mDialog Stream Manager combines ads and content into a single adaptive bitrate stream, creating a flawless viewing experience on connected devices in real-time.

Additionally, the mDialog Stream SDK for iOS is backed by advanced advertising capabilities such as coupon delivery via Passbook as well as Facebook, Twitter (News - Alert) and click/tap through companion ad units.
