Support.com, Absolute Software Offer Improved Tablet Service

Support.com has further extended its association with Absolute Software Corporation. The two organizations will now offer an all-in-one setup, optimization and protection service for tablets.

As per a study carried out by NPD Group (News - Alert), at least one consumer electronics device has been returned by 18 million U.S. consumers in 2012. A major factor in decreasing superfluous returns is post-purchase assistance. 

In a statement, Mark Grace, vice president of consumer business for Absolute Software, said, "As tablets become more central to the lives of consumers, protection against a lost or stolen device and the data they contain becomes more important. Our ability to secure and locate a tablet complements Support.com's ability to enhance the tablet experience."

All-inclusive, innovative advantages and assistance will be offered by the Support.com and Absolute Software Setup and Optimization Service for procurement of new devices. As part of the service, battery life can be extended with Support.com’s tablet optimization app. The app also enhances privacy and protection. The vital safety features of lock, locate and delete for a tablet are provided by Absolute Software's Absolute Data Protect app. Users can now take preventive measures to protect their data in the event their tablet has been misplaced or stolen. Technical assistance for Wi-Fi setup, e-mail setup and app store access will be offered by Support.com.

Both, Android and Windows 8-based tablets will be currently supported by the service. The service can be availed at all retail locations of Staples (News - Alert), Inc. countrywide.
