Planview gets 'Strong Positive' Rating in Gartner Report

Planview, a company that provides portfolio management solutions, recently announced that Gartner (News - Alert) gave the company a “Strong Positive” rating in its newly issued report titled “MarketScope for IT Project and Portfolio Management Software Applications.” The recognition is due to staggering growth figures which include 70 percent growth of new SaaS (News - Alert) bookings, 34 percent growth in IT software bookings, and 33 percent of new customers for Planview Enterprise.

“Organizations are under increasing pressure to quickly deliver differentiated products and services using limited resources, and Planview Enterprise is the answer for more and more of them,” said Patrick Tickle, executive vice president of products for Planview. “Whether delivered via the cloud or on-premises, Planview Enterprise provides the functionality and user experience needed across business functions and users to integrate portfolios, plan for the highest value investments, optimize constrained resources, and quickly pivot based on the latest data.”

With offices across the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific, Planview supports customers worldwide in virtually every industry. Planview customers include Wells Fargo (News - Alert), Citi, Hallmark, Freddie Mac, BP and Aetna, as well as public sector agencies such as the American Red Cross, the U.S. Department of Transportation and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense.

Recently, Planview announced that it is launching a major new release of its portfolio management application, driven by the accelerated growth of its cloud offering and the ongoing expansion of portfolio management as a company-wide discipline. The centerpiece of Planview Enterprise 11 is a newly designed user experience (UX) that elegantly adjusts navigation from novice to expert and embeds analytics and reporting right where users need them. As a result, companies will make better, faster decisions to more efficiently connect enterprise-wide strategic planning with execution, furthering business goals while making the best use of constrained resources.
