While cloud based services and products are becoming popular with companies all over the world, protecting sensitive data on cloud is becoming a challenge for companies. Also, companies that are using cloud based solutions now have to comply with various rules and regulations when it comes to data.
To help with these issues PerspecSys has developed PerspecSys Cloud Adapter for ServiceNow, which helps companies that are dealing with cloud based applications to comply with applicable rules regulations. According to PerspecSys, this new solution enables the interoperability between ServiceNow cloud-based SaaS (News - Alert) solutions and PerspecSys’ Cloud Data Protection Gateway.
PerspecSys gateway helps companies to tokenize or encrypt any sensitive information before that information leaves the corporate firewall. This information will then be processed and stored in ServiceNow’s cloud environment.
With the help of ServiceNow’s cloud services, companies get enhanced operational ability and improved functionality. It also helps clients to comply with various laws and regulations such as the EU Data Protection Directive and industry-specific regulatory standards such as ITAR, the company has stated.
The PerspecSys Cloud Data Protection Gateway (News - Alert) allows companies to have total control over their data when using ServiceNow. It makes use of a PRS Server and allows companies to configure their data policies in that the PRS Server.
“Some of the largest organizations in the world are using our gateway to retain control of their sensitive data when using applications such as CRM and Collaboration services. But many of our customers asked us to extend our platform to support applications such as ServiceNow, which frequently contain PII data and sensitive IT information such as hardware IP addresses,” said David Canellos, CEO of PerspecSys. “We’ve architected our solution to meet our client’s data protection needs across multiple cloud categories.”
Recently, the company partnered with Ping Identity to make it simpler and safer for companies to take advantage of the cloud.
