By NatheshProtecode (News - Alert), a provider of open source software adoption and obligation management solutions, stated that its Protecode System 4 is designed to enable managed adoption of open source and third party software in any size organization.
Now with new enhancements such as the 40 percent increase in performance speed, support for additional languages, user interface upgrades, expanded reporting capabilities and enhanced support for SPDX 1.1, the Protecode System 4 product suite has been upgraded to make the open source management tool to function even faster.
The solutions in the product suite include: Enterprise Analyzer (EA), Code Administrator (CA (News - Alert)), Developer Assistant (DA), Library Auditor (LA) and Build Analyzer (BA). These components of Protecode System 4 work together seamlessly as part of a comprehensive Open Source (News - Alert) Software Adoption Process.
System 4 has been integrated with a faster high-performance local Pedigree Database (PDB) engine that maximizes scanning and management of local software attributes’ inventory by 40 percent.
With expanded language support and specific focus on Global IP Signatures (GIPS) inventory, the System 4 tries to cater to the mobile application market. It also includes support for a collection of more than 340 million reference public domain software files and their attributes.
Other new enhancements include a new License Obligations Report (LOR) capability, User Interface (UI) skin and arrangement for more attractive and single-click Web search capability.
