Network Critical Announces Industry's First Drag-and-Drop User Interface: Drag-n-Vu

Network Critical, a provider of network packet broker solutions with integrated tapping functionality, has announced a new Drag-and-Drop interface – Drag-n-Vu -- for its New SmartNa-X family of network packet brokers. With Drag-n-Vu, the time consuming and error prone steps required for configuring network packet brokers will become a thing of past.

Earlier, almost all network packet brokers were configured using of a combination of CLI commands and awkward, error prone user interfaces. Using Network Critical’s new SmartNA-X platforms, TAPs, aggregation groups and complex filtering requirements can be configured in a matter of few seconds instead of the hours required by products from other vendors.

User interfaces of traditional products require configuration of rules for transferring traffic between ports with interacting filter based criteria, which is complicated, time consuming and error prone. Presence of just five interacting filters requires configuration of up to 26 more rules to send traffic to the right monitoring tools. The Drag-n-Vu element management system eliminates that complexity, as internal rules for passing traffic are hidden from the users. The proprietary algorithms developed and copyrighted by Network Critical automatically determine the internal details.
