Silverpop (News - Alert), a digital marketing technology provider, has launched a data center in Germany dedicated to serving new customers in EMEA.
The German data center launch falls in line with the company’s strategy to comply with European Union privacy directives to include an option for customers to store data exclusively in the EU. Silverpop is one of the first U.S-based marketing automation providers to host a data center in the EU.
"The launch of our EU data center is an integral step in continuing to help marketers in the UK, Germany and the rest of Europe deliver the most effective communications to their customers while continuing to adhere to local data privacy directives," said Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop, in a statement.
The EU data center will boost the confidence of Silverpop customers based in the EU region as their data will securely remain in the EU.
