Netformx's DesignXpert Version 15.1 Now Supports Microsoft Windows 8, Office 2013 and Surface Pro Tablets

Netformx recently announced that the latest version of Netformx DesignXpert has been enhanced with performance improvement capabilities for quicker search queries and supports improved deployment flexibility for Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 8, Office 2013 and Surface Pro tablets. Additionally, Netformx DesignXpert version 15.1 has been designed with a larger Netformx KnowledgeBase and supports shorter production cycles that can speed up the design of products and services from multi-vendor content library of technology products.

Highlighting features of Netformx DesignXpert Version 15.1 include:

• Support for Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 Enterprise and Microsoft Office 2013 Professional 32-bit Edition platforms, in addition to supporting Windows 8 Pro-based Surface Pro Tablets.
• Enhancements to the Netformx KnowledgeBase, such as the transition to Microsoft SQL faster search queries and improved support for new features and vendors.
• Advanced administrative controls ensuring greater flexibility to support large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Network Discovery enhancements that provide greater coverage for Cisco IOS - Juniper Networks (News - Alert) products have also been enhanced with additional device details and deeper discovery capabilities while HP/3Com (News - Alert) devices and optimizations ensure improved discoveries.

Design improvements also include LinkXpert capabilities, which allow users to view select IP addresses, port and slot numbers, port descriptions and provide greater coverage for Juniper Networks products. Cisco (News - Alert) Commerce Workspace has been improved with advanced ConfigSet import capabilities that enable users to search and filter ConfigSet IDs and date ranges until a desired configuration is met for transferring to Netformx DesignXpert.

With the integration to Netformx Cloud (beta release), users of Netformx DesignXpert can easily save and backup projects and assets.
