Guest Technology, Data Security and Infrastructure - Key to Hospitality Industry

The hospitality industry is moving forward rapidly and hoteliers are in search for distinctive products and innovative designs in order to deliver a more memorable stay to their customers with data security, infrastructure planning and technology implementation ebing the key areas that the industry need to focus at this moment. Though technology takes the prime role at all levels and in all areas, the big question is how well the industry is integrating that technology across all critical areas.

Building on continued success, AHTEC@HOFEX, the Asian Hospitality Technology Education Conference, is all set to share expert perspectives on the ever-changing technology landscape. Organizers of the conference have announced its third edition for May 7-8 with the exhibition portion continuing through May 10 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong.

According to the release, the organizers, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd (HKES) and Pertlink, have recruited top local and international expert speakers to provide a valuable education slate to participants.

"AHTEC has quickly become the enormous success we here at HFTP and the team at Hong Kong Exhibition Services hoped it would," Frank Wolfe, chief executive officer at HFTP said in a statement.

"This year we aim to attract even more industry executives who are seeking to improve their business processes and overall guest experience with the help of the latest technologies," Wolfe added.

The conference, held in conjunction with HOFEX and the Regional Hotel General Managers' Forum, will focus on technology trends including guest technology, data security and infrastructure.

Research and Markets recently announced the availability of a study titled, "Global Hotel Industry Survey 2013: Technology Initiatives and Investment Decisions." The report includes both buyer and supplier respondents' opinions towards the current size of technology budgets in the global hotel industry and how their spending is expected to change in 2013.

In addition, the report outlines the importance of technology in guest satisfaction and identifies the key technology facilities which hoteliers are providing and their customer expectations over the next 12 months.
