Touted as a provider of application delivery networking, Array Networks (News - Alert) has unveiled its new APV 2600, 5600, 10600 and 10650 application delivery controller appliances.
The appliances support 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. In addition, each of the newest offerings also support the latest in multi-core processing and multi-core SSL acceleration.
The compact 1U appliance, APV2600 is said to be ideal for small- to medium-sized enterprises. Company officials said that it in addition to supporting 10 Gbps of throughput, this new appliance supports 5000 2048-bit SSL transactions per second, and three Gbps of SSL throughput as well.
The company has designed APV5600 for enterprises with larger traffic demands. In fact, this 2U appliance supports 15 Gbps of throughput, 25,000 2048-bit SSL transactions per second, and 10 Gbps of SSL throughput.
The APV10600, a 2U appliance, has been engineered for the needs of large and global enterprises and service providers. It supports 80 Gbps of throughput, 45,000 2048-bit SSL transactions per second, and 15 Gbps of SSL throughput.
Lastly, the company’s top-of-the-line flagship application delivery controller is APV10650. It supports 120 Gbps of throughput, 70,000 2048-bit SSL transactions per second, and 25 Gbps of SSL throughput, according to company officials.
The new Array APV Series appliances are expected to provide companies with a cost-effective way to support the growing demand for SSL. The products will also help them meet governing body and certificate authority mandates for higher security standards.
Further, the APV 2600, 5600, 10600 and 10650 appliances support advanced server load balancing, link load balancing, global server load balancing (GSLB), connection multiplexing, SSL acceleration, compression, caching, traffic shaping and application security.
