Zadara Storage, cloud block storage specialist and OpenStack contributor, has joined the Red Hat OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network as an early adopter.

Radhesh Balakrishnan, general manager of virtualization at Red Hat (News - Alert), said, “We are excited to closely collaborate with Zadara to provide compelling OpenStack-based solutions to joint customers. With Zadara, our customers will have access to innovative cloud block storage to offer them more deployment choices.”

It is expected that this partnership will provide a higher level of integration, interoperability and support to customers who desire to implement public and private OpenStack clouds. Zadara and Red Hat will collaborate to streamline implementation and use of Zadara cloud block storage along with the Red Hat distribution of OpenStack.

Zadara Storage ranks as the first storage company to join OpenStack. Zadara will feature tight integration with OpenStack and enhances the reliability and performance of its cloud storage software.

Noam Shendar, Zadara’s vice president of business development remarked, “By working together, our two companies are offering customers a proven enterprise experience. Red Hat is known for its enterprise products and support, and Zadara Storage is known for an enterprise-class storage service that has been delighting some of the world’s most demanding and well-known customers.”

The pairing of Zadara with Red Hat’s OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Partner Network is expected to enhance customer experience significantly. The two together will provide tangible customer benefits.

Zadara offers enterprise-class and cloud-block storage on-demand. It provides cloud servers with fully configurable, highly available, fully private and tiered storage. The capabilities of enterprise storage are synergized with cloud and cloud block storage. This enables enterprises to migrate mission-critical applications to the cloud easily and economically.

Red Hat announced recently that it has been named to CRN’s 2013 partner program guide, and was awarded a 5-star partner rating. The CRN partner program guide is a listing of manufacturers and software publishers that service solution providers or provide products to the IT Channel.
