DoubleHorn Communications Unveils IPOne Cloud

DoubleHorn Communications, a provider of managed business communications, hosted IT and cloud services, has launched the IPOne Cloud, a suite of secure, enterprise-class cloud computing resources.

IPOne Cloud has been specially designed to serve the needs of small and medium businesses (SMBs) for delivering file and application servers, a document collaboration and version control platform, and data storage. All these capabilities can be accessed over the secure and reliable DoubleHorn Core Network.

According to company officials, the IPOne Cloud offers a computing environment for SMBs, which was only available previously as an expensive solution for large enterprises. DoubleHorn will handle the initial infrastructure investment and ongoing management, thereby enabling SMBs to leverage the solution and avoid the expense of on-premises equipment and IT management resources.

The DoubleHorn IPOne Cloud Suite features an IPOne Server, which provides elastic capacity from the cloud with on-demand, secure servers. These ensure scalability based on real-time needs in order to streamline operations. Servers are preconfigured and are able to add data and applications and control access, the company added.

The other solution IPOne Documents offers is a rich collaboration environment allowing users to manage and share content. Virtual teams will greatly benefit from access and version control features, as they can easily collaborate on projects from disparate locations and be more productive.

IPOne Storage ensures business continuity and redundancy through secure file storage and backup capabilities. This enables users to purchase and manage storage infrastructure as it allows scalability based on cloud requirements.
