Envivio Announces Support for Adobe Primetime

Video content providers these days need to broadcast their video across various connected devices to stay in competition. Enabling users to get live packaging of content in the Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS) format, Envivio (News - Alert) has announced integration with integration with Adobe Primetime. Now, content providers can make use of the combined power of Envivio encoding and video processing systems along with Adobe Primetime to provide high quality video in connected devices.

Envivio Muse software-based encoders are useful for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and adaptive streaming formats as they give the capacity to have all-digital live or file-based workflow. Envivio Halo solutions are ideal for TV Everywhere and TV Anytime services.

According to Envivio, the company’s solutions allow users to save on network capacity while they also get the benefits of providing multi screen operations. They also enable various time shifte applications such as catch-up TV, start-over TV, nPVR and targeted ad insertion.

Adobe’s Project Primetime helps users to reduce operating expenses while broadcasting to the viewers. It helps content providers provide a TV-like viewing experience in numerous platforms with a single, end-to-end workflow.
