Telestream Extends Its Vantage Software to Cloud-based Environments

Telestream, a provider of live and on-demand digital video tools and workflow solutions, asserted that its Vantage software is now available in the cloud.

Telestream Vantage is a complete family of video transcoding and workflow solutions from single-server installations for automating transcoding, to very large, multi-server systems that produce and assemble millions of finished media packages.

The newly announced Vantage Cloud makes it easy to run all the capabilities of Vantage including automated transcoding, media processing, analysis, and packaging on cloud-based infrastructure including the Amazon Web Services (News - Alert).

Barbara DeHart, vice president of marketing at Telestream commented, “Vantage was built for scale and very large deployments. Vantage Cloud now allows users to run Vantage in an elastic, hosted environment. Vantage Cloud combines the exceptional quality, video processing, and broad format support that Vantage offers with the pay-as-you-go pricing option that cloud-based services like AWS offer.”

Telestream exclaimed that its Vantage workflow products enable the design and automation of intelligent video workflows and can integrate with virtually any network device in users’ facility. Adaptive workflows capable of automatically analyzing and making decisions and managing content can be built using Vantage’s design capabilities.

A unified hybrid environment can be realized by leveraging a workflow automation and system management of Vantage that allows easy interaction between on-premise and cloud-based systems. With Vantage Cloud, one can also rapidly respond to peak demands, scale down media processing workflows up or down based on requirements and remove the need for investing in additional hardware.

Telestream added that Vantage Cloud will be demonstrated at the NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 8 – 11.

In related news, Telestream recently unveiled transcoding, workflow and live streaming solutions and Vantage used Aspera (News - Alert) Faspex for rapid file transfer.
