Aveksa Partners with GuidePoint Security to Expand IAM Deployments

On the heels of launching a number of new cloud-related identity and access management (IAM) services, Aveksa has teamed up with GuidePoint Security to expand deployment of its cloud-based IAM solutions. GuidePoint Security offers customized information security services specializing in cloud, mobile and application security.

Under the new partnership, GuidePoint Security will resell both Aveksa’s cloud-based and on-premises IAM solutions to a growing number of organizations and government agencies moving their IT assets and infrastructure to the cloud, according to Justin Morehouse, founder and principal of GuidePoint Security.

“With this push comes both a great opportunity to integrate security into new and existing applications, but also great responsibility to ensure security safeguards are implemented,” Morehouse said in a statement. “Aveksa’s cloud-based IAM solutions provide these enterprises with the ability to not only manage applications in the cloud, but also manage the IAM process using its SaaS (News - Alert) offering. By doing so, these companies will have more secure and efficient cloud initiatives.”

MyAccessLive, Aveksa’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IAM software, provides enhanced visibility and control of both cloud and on-premises applications in a single cloud-based solution.

Aveksa officials said the Waltham, Mass.-based company differentiates itself from competitors by offering a solution that unifies the management of identities and access across internal and external environments, without compromising visibility and control.

“Enterprises that move applications and IT processes to cloud environments need to ensure that access to those environments is governed in the most secure manner possible,” said Andy Byron, vice president of worldwide sales at Aveksa. “Our partnership with GuidePoint Security enables us to significantly expand our reach to companies that are in need of identity and access management solutions in cloud environments.”

Earlier this year, Aveksa added Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities to MyAccessLive, MSP Today reported. SSO provides enterprises convenience in terms of enabling users to sign on just once in order to access multiple applications.

With the MyAccessLive SSO capabilities, the Aveksa cloud platform securely connects users to on-premises and cloud-based Web applications, including a range of sign-on options including multifactor authentication and desktop SSO.
