Innometriks Picks Lumidigmral Sensors for Touch Reader

Lumidigm’s V-Series multispectral fingerprint sensors have been embedded into Innometriks’ new Rhino Touch reader.

Set to be introduced next week at ISC West, Innometriks’ Rhino Touch reader provides self-guided and fully-authenticated enrollment into a facility access control system via a CAC, TWIC or PIV card.

This reader can be deployed as a self-service CAC/TWIC/PIV identification validation device and serves as a vetting station providing complete validation of card signatures, certificates and personal information.

“The market has been looking for a way to be more efficient at vetting these complex credentials,” said John Cassise, Innometriks CEO, in a statement. “The unique ability of Lumidigm’s sensors to get a great image of the finger the first time, every time is critical for making a truly intuitive biometric device.”

Innometriks’ new Rhino Touch reader is unique because it frees organizations from hiring trained operators to validate credentials.

Validation can now be completed easily in a self-service format at a very affordable cost and maintaining a high degree of trust amongst those concerned with the entire process.

Learning how to use the Rhino Touch reader is easy because a seven-inch touchscreen provides a kiosk-level user interface to simplify instruction. The new release expands on several important features of the already popular Rhino reader.

Businesses can wall-mount the Rhino Touch, use on a desktop or position on a free-standing post.

Lumidigm is dedicated to enabling convenient, secure, and reliable identification of people, products and credentials. The company was in news last year for deploying fingerprint sensors into automated teller machines (ATMs) of Brazil's second largest state-owned bank, CAIXA.
