The two companies just forged a partnership where Aveska’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) service joined with GuidePoint’s security services to create a broader offering.
Under terms of the deal, GuidePoint Security will now sell cloud-based and on-premises IAM tools from Aveska to customers around the world, and provide value-added services to augment the Aveska platform.
“An ever-increasing number of organizations and government agencies are migrating their IT assets and infrastructure to the cloud. With this push comes both a great opportunity to integrate security into new and existing applications, but also great responsibility to ensure security safeguards are implemented,” remarked Justin Morehouse, Founder and Principal of GuidePoint Security. “Aveksa’s cloud-based IAM solutions provide these enterprises with the ability to not only manage applications in the cloud, but also manage the IAM process using its SaaS (News

From Aveska’s perspective, the fuller offering is useful as more and more IT functions move to the cloud.
“Enterprises that move applications and IT processes to cloud environments need to ensure that access to those environments is governed in the most secure manner possible,” said Andy Byron, VP of Worldwide Sales, Aveksa. “Our partnership with GuidePoint Security enables us to significantly expand our reach to companies that are in need of Identity and Access Management solutions in cloud environments.”
GuidePoint services include:
Aveska focuses on what it calls Business-Driven Identity and Access Management, which integrates provisioning, identity and access governance, and authentication. “With business-driven identity and access management solutions, companies can empower the business owners to take ownership of identity and access control, provide consistent, full business context across Identity and Access Management systems, connect to the full set of key applications and data resources, and significantly lower the total cost of ownership while scaling to modern enterprise environments,” the company explains.
