NetSuite and eWinery Solutions Team Up to Create Cloud Software Solution

NetSuite (News - Alert), a developer cloud-based financials / ERP software suites, and eWinery Solutions, a provider of direct-to-consumer (DTC) software and systems for the wine industry, have formed a partnership to develop and offer an industry-specific cloud software solution called VinSuite, targeting wineries throughout the world.

The companies intend to develop the planned solution based on NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform. VinSuite is expected to integrate the power of NetSuite’s ERP, CRM, and eCommerce with eWinery’s vertical domain knowledge in the wine industry and expertise in winery software development.

To the wineries, the solution is expected to provide the tools that they need to compete both in the local and international markets. Company officials said that the integrated solution will provide wineries an exhaustive set of capabilities, enabling them to manage and streamline DTC sales, which include CRM, POS, loyalty clubs, E-mail marketing, eCommerce via the NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform and more.

Companies’ officials said that it will help manage operations such as tasting room point-of-sale (POS) systems, wine club membership and program management, allocations of inventories, order management, customer relationship management (CRM) and more.

Richard Kline, founder and CEO of eWinery Solutions, said that through this partnership, “we can deliver solutions to help winemakers across the globe improve business efficiency, customer relationships, sales and growth while taking advantage of the economic benefits of cloud computing.”

He also said that current eWinery and Napa Valley POS clients will be migrated to the new platform, so this will represent a significant upgrade for the company’s client base.

The eWinery solution, atop NetSuite, is expected to benefit wineries by providing them a single record of customer transactions across multiple channels such as online order, in-person purchases at a winery and call center sales.

eWinery’s customization is based on NetSuite’s SuiteCloud, which is a comprehensive offering of development tools and services that allows customers and commercial software developers to benefit economically from cloud computing.

Plus, the wineries also gain new capabilities that are expected to equip them to wholesale B2B distribution businesses via customization of NetSuite functionality for ERP, order-to-cash cycles, inventory and order management, warehousing, shipping and fulfillment, B2B eCommerce and more.

“With eWinery's recent merger with Napa Valley POS, their combined leadership in wine industry software solutions coupled with NetSuite's cloud business management and multi-channel retail solutions will bring innovation to the wine industry,” said Guido Haarmans, vice president of business development for Technology Partners at NetSuite.

Earlier in February, Fronde, New Zealand based IT services company, joined the NetSuite Solution Provider Program to strengthen its leadership in cloud integration services.
