Siemens Expands Flagler Center Offices

Siemens has had so much success when it comes to their Flagler Center offices that the company is looking to expand the staff by another 30 people. It is also going to be physically expanding the space that has been set aside for their offices with that expansion taking place in June. Soon after the offices have been made bigger, Siemens (News - Alert) will bring in 30 new employees.

The expansion and continued hiring at this particular facility is a great success story for Siemens. When the company opened this Flagler Center location there was a total of 10 people assigned to the offices. There are currently 70 people working in that particular facility and the new hires will give the company an increase of 10 times what it opened with.

Jil Shingledecker, communications manager with Siemens Infrastructure & Cities said that the interviews for the new employees have begun and the company is looking to fill a variety of positions over the next few months. Among the specialists that Siemens will be looking at will be CAD drafters, engineers, software programmers and project managers.

The facilities that Siemens is operating measure about 16,000 square feet and the expansion plans would make the offices take on an additional 15,000 square feet of space. When all is said and done the offices would be nearly doubled and would measure 31,000 square feet. Siemens says the expansion project will cost them in excess of $350,000 and is contracting through C. Harrison Construction of Callahan.
