Vistara SaaS-Based IT Operation Platform Validated by EMC Labs

Vistara, a provider of SaaS (News - Alert)-based cloud operations software, announced the successful validation of its cloud management solution – Vistara IT Operations Platform (ITOP) – by EMC (News - Alert) Labs.

Vistara ITOP has been tested and validated as an EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure solution, allowing customers to leverage Vistara ITOP to provision and manage their VSPEX solution and VNX unified storage platforms.

With this result, Vistara ITOP becomes the first VSPEX Labs-validated SaaS IT management program.

The validation benefits mutual customers and channel partners as they can deploy an EMC solution with enriched management and orchestration capabilities.

Vistara ITOP is one of the core components of the company's Cloud Management-as-a-Service (CMaaS) offering. It lets administrators view and manage their entire distributed IT infrastructure within a single user interface, making it perfect for enterprises with multiple branch offices, remote service providers, and distributed data centers.

"Vistara ITOP's new support for VSPEX Proven Infrastructure and VNX unified storage platforms shows our depth of commitment as a partner of EMC," said Varma Kunaparaju, chief technology officer at Vistara.

According to company officials, Vistara ITOP can federate the remote management of on-premises clouds, virtual private clouds, public clouds and IT tools into a single dashboard. Thus, it simplifies the adoption and management of cloud-based solutions in a hybrid IT environment.

As an immediate outcome of this development, Vistara ITOP allows customers to quickly and easily provision their VSPEX converged infrastructure solution and VNX storage as a private cloud. Available as a SaaS solution, Vistara ITOP does not require any manual updates or management by the IT department.
