By NatheshJelastic, a provider of Java and PHP server hosting platform for developers and hosting service providers, released version 1.9 of its cloud hosting platform that features FTP support, caching in NGINX and the newest software stacks, including TomEE and MariaDB 10.0.0.
Jelastic is stated to be the next-generation Java and PHP cloud hosting platform, that can run and scale any Java or PHP application with no code changes required.
The Jelastic PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) platform, launched a couple of years ago, is reportedly being offered by hosting partners across the globe, and is credited with having a primarily original style to cloud hosting of Java applications.
The latest Jelastic v1.9 builds on the success of this Jelastic PaaS platform and assigns more importance to user convenience.
The platform is easy to scale, deploy and manage, and users are left with the choice to select their software stack, set the limits for auto-scaling and pick their names – and within few seconds their environment will be up and running. As soon as an application’s load grows, the platform is capable of simply making additional resources available to it, and when the load goes down again, the platform can reduce the resources.
For hosting providers, the Jelastic v1.9 lets them view and evaluate all aspects of their PaaS business and customer behavior, including conversion process, churn rate, activity rate, feature popularity, revenue per customer and more, with its new advanced reporting console. Using the log management feature, hosters can detect and resolve problems more quickly and flexibly.
The platform features simple software upgrades and enhanced security as well.
For Java and PHP developers, the latest version provides easy access to application files with FTP/FTPS and higher performance through file caching. The Apache TomEE integrated into the platform removes architectural overhead and the MariaDB 10.0 lets developers enjoy the benefits of multi-source replication, dynamic columns and MariaDB Galera Cluster.
