With the objective to deliver affordable virtualized storage solutions that feature superior performance and enterprise level reliability, Open-E, Inc. - a developer of data storage software used for building and managing centralized storage servers – announced that it will unveil its all-in-one universal storage operating system strategy at the upcoming CeBIT (News - Alert) 2013.

The new offerings are the Open-E Data Storage Software (DSS) V7 with Hyper-V Cluster support and the new Open-E Multiple Storage Server Manager (MSSM) for simplified central management of all storage resources.

As a company specializing in IP-based storage management software, Open-E will offer DSS V7 and Open-E DSS V7 Lite line of products that are targeted at the SMB and SME markets.

The Open-E DSS V7 is an enterprise storage application delivering high compatibility with industry standards.

Enabling virtualized storage management for big data and cloud computing, the new Open-E DSS V7 is also one of the most stable solutions on the market while being easy to use and manage.

According Open-E, its DSS V7 is backed by 27,000 installations. In addition, the company is offering optimization of virtual storage environments by releasing full Hyper-V Cluster support for Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 shortly.

The full Hyper-V Cluster Support for Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 capability on DSS V7 allows customers to: set up a virtualized storage environment with no single point of failure; provides highest reliability possible with server clusters; and offers outstanding price performance with an active-active iSCSI failover setup.

Apart from showcasing DSS V7 with Hyper-V Cluster support at CeBIT 2013, Open-E will also demonstrate MSSM to provide a centralized management tool. This dashboard tool provides a single view of all storage servers and resources saving time and operating expense by simplifying the process of managing tasks on selected servers.

Krzysztof Franek, CEO and president of Open-E, in a statement, “Our All-in-One Universal storage systems strategy allows businesses of all sizes to leverage off-the-shelf servers to simply build and operate the virtualized storage infrastructure they need to support their Big Data, Cloud, and other enterprise applications.”

Franek added, “These new product releases of Hyper-V Cluster support and MSSM for Open-E DSS V7 validates our ongoing commitment to deliver on our All-In-One Universal storage systems strategy of providing SMB and SME customers’ enterprise class solutions and performance at an affordable price point...”

As quoted by Open-E, the new product releases follow the recent announcement that Open-E DSS V7 achieved VMware Ready status after a detailed validation process.
