HP has been named as the initial partner of the new CSA Master Training Program by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).
The new global training program facilitates the global access and adoption of the CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) Certification.
"Before adopting a cloud delivery model, enterprises must have a security program in place," said Bryan Pickett, vice president, HP Education Technology and Consulting, Enterprise Services, HP. "With the CSA Master Training Program, companies receive the training they need to develop a program that fits the unique security needs of their organization."
Both will collaborate on investing in the global expansion of CCSK training availability, and specifically focus on the Asia Pacific region.
As per the agreement, HP will adapt existing CCSK lab-based training to include HP cloud solutions. HP Education Services will also certify any HP CCSK training staff based on HP's CSA-certified courseware.
"This partnership with HP will be of tremendous benefit to security professionals, as we will have the added resources and investments needed to define and deliver a program that keeps pace with a constantly changing cloud security landscape," said Jim Reavis, executive director of the CSA.
The Cloud Security Alliance aims to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing.
This not-for-profit organization also provides education on the uses of cloud storage to help secure all other forms of computing.
