VCE Modernizes Data Center Environments

VCE is helping enterprises and service providers modernize and transform their data center environments by expanding its product portfolio.

The newly introduced software and hardware is ideal for branch offices and mid-sized data centers.

“Today we take the next important steps in defining the next generation data center with the introduction of new VCE developed systems and software that converge data center operations for customers,” said Praveen Akkiraju, CEO of VCE.

The VCE product portfolio includes several new elements such as VCE Vision Intelligent Operations software that enables converged infrastructure management through investments in existing management frameworks.

Expanding VCE's market reach, the new Vblock System 200 brings the Vblock family to distributed environments and mid-sized data centers. The solution is sold through the VCE partner channel and it brings speed and flexibility to data center infrastructure.

The Vblock System 100 is ideal for remote office/branch office deployments, and brings line-of-business applications from core data centers into remote office/branch office locations.

VCE has enhanced the Vblock System 300 and Vblock System 700 family to efficiently scale-up to a very high level of operational performance.

VCE has also introduced the first of a series of systems- Vblock Specialized System SAP (News - Alert) HANA -that are optimized with pre-installed core enterprise workloads.

"Converged infrastructure such as VCE's Vblock Systems can dramatically speed deployments, simplify infrastructure management and reduce risk. CIOs will value the fact that VCE is extending convergence to management and operations of converged infrastructure," said David Vellante, co-founder and chief analyst, Wikibon.

VCE accelerates the adoption of converged infrastructure and cloud-based computing models that reduce the cost of IT while improving time to market for its customers. The company was in news earlier this year when it announced that VCE Vblock Systems are serving as the IT infrastructure supporting GOV.UK.
