Red Bend Software to Show Revenue Opportunities with MSM for OEMs and Operators at Mobile World Congress

The word every business seems to be focusing on these days is mobile, and if you are not implementing it as part of your organization in some form or another, you are getting left behind. The optimism proponents feel about this platform is not an exaggeration. As broadband becomes the norm around the world, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets will replace the PC and laptop in greater numbers than they already are doing today.

Red Bend Software (News - Alert) specializes in Mobile Software Management (MSM) and its Red Bend-Enabled application is deployed in more than 1.6 billion devices. The company will be demonstrating how its MSM solution creates new revenue generating opportunities for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and operators so they can manage smartphones, automobiles and connected devices, and provide better mobile security for automotive customers, consumers and enterprises.

To highlight the effectiveness of its MSM solution, Red Bend will come together with Samsung (News - Alert) and its Galaxy S III for the very first time with Red Bend’s True Solution for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) implementation.

The Dual-Persona BYOD solution provides security for the organization and privacy for the employee, while at the same time ensuring it is protected from malware. As the number of BYOD policies increase, organizations have to ensure every device connected to the network is secure and the employee is ensured of their privacy. The Dual-Persona makes a clear distinction between the personal and business side of the device. If the personal side gets infected with a virus and completely stops it from working properly, the business or enterprise side will be protected and safe from harm. The personal side of the phone can be managed by the mobile operator providing the service and the enterprise side is managed by IT administrators from the company.

The automotive solution from Red Bend is the vRapid Mobile Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA), which gives the driver the latest infotainment capabilities of the vehicle. As automobiles become more connected they are increasingly dependent on getting the right information for maintenance, updates and new features that can make the vehicle safe and enjoyable to drive.

Red Bend will be demonstrating these and other MSM solutions in collaboration with other companies such as IBM (News - Alert) and Alcatel-Lucent at the GSMA’s 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC).
