Identity enforcement technology experts at SecureAuth said that 2012 was a landmark year for the company, with exponential growth in its subscriber-base. The firm attributes this success to the increased demand for identity and access management products on the part of enterprises on the lookout for new ways to support their BYOD policies.
In addition to a dramatic surge in the numbers of corporate end-user subscribers, the company also witnessed 800 percent year-over-year revenue growth in the past year.
A reputable provider of identity enforcement technology for the enterprise, SecureAuth closed 2012 with record corporate end-user subscriber and revenue growth.
Furthermore, the company reported several major client wins.
The top brands that subscribed to SecureAuth in 2012 include Siemens (News - Alert), Big Lots, Office Depot, Edward Jones, Sony Pictures, HBO, Electronic Arts, Virgin America, Southwest Airlines and US Navy.
SecureAuth’s IdP products reportedly offer an enterprise-proven method of administering corporate identity governance on cloud-based applications, mobile devices and networks. Currently, there are more than 10 million subscribers whose organizations use SecureAuth IdP products for managing and enforcing access, authentication, approval and assertion based on existing user entitlements.
In the BYOD era, SecureAuth efficiently enables the IT departments worldwide to systematically grant employees, partners and customers access to enterprise data from any device, anywhere.
“Identity and access management is the core issue enterprises are dealing with as they embrace the growing use of BYOD, and is the reason for the exponential growth SecureAuth experienced during 2012. We expect this growth to continue through 2013 as more organizations realize the simplicity and flexibility SecureAuth IdP offers IT and their corporate users. Furthermore, we are continuing to enhance our products to meet the need for varied end-point securities and compliant access within the enterprise -- from device platforms to specific applications such as Google (News - Alert) Apps, SharePoint, Office 365 and native mobile applications,” said chief executive officer and cofounder at SecureAuth, Craig Lund.
SecureAuth expects to be able to continue this momentum through the current year. The company recently secured $4.5 million in private funding, which will come in handy in supporting the company’s growth through the upcoming months.
Part of the funds will be used to address corporate needs in the areas of sales, engineering, product support and development.
Last month, SecureAuth announced that its SecureAuth IdP for Mobile was awarded the "Best BYOD Solution" UP-START Cloud Award at the third annual UP 2012 Cloud Computing Conference, held in San Francisco on December 12.
