QualiSystems Enables Automatic Migration from Gale Technologies Lab Manager to TestShell

QualiSystems (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise software solutions for test and lab automation, recently enabled automatic migration capabilities that allow customers to seamlessly replace in-place Gale Technologies (News - Alert) Lab Manager test automation platforms with QualiSystems' own TestShell enterprise software framework. This automatic migration option will not replace the company's standard migration method, which will continue to be available.

Gale Technologies, which was recently acquired by Dell (News - Alert), also recently made an end-of-life product announcement for its Lab Manager platform, making QualiSystems' announcement a timely one for storage-vendor customers looking to switch to a more sustainable solution.

"Now that Dell has purchased Gale, some existing customers may be Dell competitors unwilling to use a Gale product," said Assaf Lev, vice president of delivery at QualiSystems, in a statement. "QualiSystems offers an alternative that surpasses the Lab Manager's capabilities and provides customers with the best available outcomes. Like our customers, we are very pleased with the automated migration process and the results realized."

It will be necessary for customers to switch from Gale's Lab Manager in order to maintain and expand on necessary functionality and gain the best possible lab results. Fortunately, the automatic changeover process to TestShell offers a complete end-to-end replacement of the Lab Manager suite, including devices layer-1 physical switches and network and storage devices. Automated migration also ensures a timely transition and allows lab testing teams to continue working uninterrupted on any existing reservations, while the migration is taking place.

Meanwhile, TestShell can optimize lab performance by way of superior networking and storage lab management features, which includes built-in support, device inventory and scheduling, and the ability to drag and drop resources into topology diagrams. In all, the solution provides complete lab management and device provisioning, increasing testing coverage and equipment utilization.

The TestShell Framework is used in around the world by network equipment manufacturers, telecom operators, data center providers, enterprise and electronics manufacturers as it reduced time to market and operating costs.
