CA Technologies Named a Leader by Forrester

CA Technologies (CA), an IT management software and solutions company, recently announced that Forrester (News - Alert) has named the company a Leader in “The Forrester Wave: Project/Program Portfolio Management, Q4 2012.”

The firm has been recognized for its Clarity (News - Alert) Project and Portfolio Management solution.

CA also received the highest score in the current offering category of below-the-line vendors.

CA Clarity PPM (News - Alert) enables companies to manage their entire innovation lifecycle, and pursue strategic investments all from a single solution. The automated software provides a foundation for smarter portfolio decisions, enhancing productivity and efficiency and enabling clients to quickly adapt to dynamic business conditions.

It offers project and portfolio management capabilities to unify and simplify PPM information and processes into a single system of record, and is available on-premises, hosted, or Software-as-a-Service.

Forrester says CA Technologies’ “adaptable integration strategy permits companies to bring in critical data from third-party applications such as ALM and service portfolio management to analyze performance and health to determine a portfolio alignment. Recent investments in reporting and application portfolio management enable CA to provide greater transparency and insight into BT (News - Alert) planning strategies.”

“Organizations can greatly benefit from flexible solutions that manage investments, projects and resources and connect them to IT and business goals,” said Lokesh Jindal, general manager, Service and Portfolio Management solutions, CA Technologies. “Forrester’s recognition of our leadership is, in our opinion, a direct reflection of our success in providing customers with precisely this kind of solution.”

Meanwhile, CA Technologies and Sesame Workshop (News - Alert), the not-for-profit, educational organization behind Sesame Street, recently announced a partnership to encourage young children, educators and parents to engage in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. To support this effort, CA Technologies has pledged $1,000,000 to Sesame Workshop.

Currently under development, the initiative will feature a free STEM hub that is part of the Sesamestreet.org website with educational resources for preschool children.
