The Essar Group Finds a Reliable Recovery Solution in Sanovi Technologies

Those at the Essar Group, a company invested in the commodity, annuity and services businesses, are consistently looking for ways to simplify their jobs, and now with the help of Sanovi Technologies, their dream has become a reality. Sanovi is a provider of disaster recovery (DR) management software, whose expertise has helped software engineers at the Essar Group more easily track elements which require further attention for increased efficiency and productivity.

“The number of hours was reduced from 16 hours to five hours only,” said Jayantha Prabhu, head of the IT department. In the management of IT infrastructure, one thing is for sure – there’s always recovery, and it is a part of the entire process. Therefore, according to Essar Group’s management, there were a series of rigorous testing and monitoring.

Additionally, quality has always been a part of the story, where the current buzz about Sanovi brings relevance to the world of information technology (IT). Most SAP (News - Alert) functionalities require DR implementations, which has been the primary concern of Sanovi Technologies for both large and medium-sized companies alike. In the case of the Essar Group, the IT head and his subordinates were impressed because of the end-results. Risk management divisions, especially in banks, typically need DR services.

At the end of the day, more and more users and companies will need DR services, as they are essential to both helping businesses improve as well as attract potential clients in the near future.  Yet for some reason, not all firms are ready to accept the benefits of DR management today, seeing how budget is equally critical for most business owners. In fact, some reports show that it is a major requirement to consider the total number of databases before implementing recovery solutions; however, having a proper estimate will give IT managers some ideas on which one to prioritize.

In the meantime, all we can do is to wait and see how these things slowly but surely progress.
