Starboard Systems has been known as one of the top providers of hybrid storage for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). The company recently announced that its AC Series flashed based arrays had passed a series of tests that make the platform verified as Citrix Ready.
This certification means the company’s NAS and SAN have complete compatibility with the Citrix XenServer. Being part of the Citrix Ready program means third-party customers are more likely to be paired up with a company like Starboard Systems.
In particular, the Starboard AC45 and AC72 have successfully passed the testing that makes it part of the programs that can work with the XenServer. This also means the platforms can work with quite a few of the third-party solutions that Citrix clients are currently using.
“The Starboard hybrid storage technology addresses many of the challenges that we see today in both file- and block-based environments,” said Randy Miller, president of Global Document Storage Systems (GDS2), an IT reseller. “Our customers now have a more sophisticated and cost-effective way to consolidate any type of data into a single, easy-to-manage system that will reduce the administrators’ work by more than 50 percent and allow for a more efficient future expansion.”
Lee Johns, vice president of product development, talked about how his company will be able to work closely with a host of companies, such as GDS2, through the Citrix Ready program.
The program is basically a way for companies to better find the kind of solutions they’re looking for on a day-to-day basis.
Starboard works hard to deliver solid-state hybrid storage that can actually accelerate application data automatically. This is obviously a function that plenty of IT companies are looking for in the more competitive business tech world.
