Logical Operations Partners with Terillian Technologies to Release Virtual Lab Solution LogicalLABS

Logical Operations partnered with Terillian Technologies to release LogicalLABS, a new virtual lab learning environment that provides students with hands-on, practical experience within actual (not simulated) software applications.

The LogicalLABS product offering provides students with a robust environment that allows them to easily move through courseware activities all within virtual machines. The class monitoring tools equips instructors with an “over the shoulder” view at students work, whether the classroom environment is traditional or virtual. It also provides the technology they need to understand course content during classroom training events, while also serving as a resource for extended learning beyond the classroom.

The LogicalLABS was launched through Logical Operations' new patent-pending learning platform called LogicalCHOICE. All LogicalCHOICE content goes through rigorous live classroom testing, where activities are practiced, lesson timing is reviewed and the overall feasibility of using the content within any classroom environment is thoroughly evaluated. The LogicalCHOICE learning system bridges the gap from traditional textbook learning, with an innovative digital platform that gives organizations the flexibility to provide a learning environment that best suits their needs.

Jeff Felice, chief operating officer, Logical Operations, said, “Partnering with Terillian was a natural fit, as the leader in virtual labs technologies; they were able to bring the Logical Operations courseware into a live learning environment that benefits the training organization, instructor and student.”

Phyllis Scott, chief operations officer, Terillian Technologies, said, “Logical Operations is the first content vendor to field a full series of live hands-on labs that combines Lab on Demand Technology with Logical Operations' superior content. It is a great pleasure to be working with such a gifted content development team.”

The company launched LogicalCHOICE - a next-generation learning tool - on August 2, 2012 at its grand opening at company headquarters in Rochester, New York.

The LogicalCHOICE configurable platform offers printed materials and/or digital tools that give organizations the flexibility to provide a training and learning environment that best suits their needs. LogicalCHOICE materials are designed to be easily used in any environment, whether that is traditional instructor-led training classes, fully virtual instructor-led training classes or mixed classes with students who are learning in the classroom with an instructor and remotely simultaneously. In either a synchronous or asynchronous environment, LogicalCHOICE extends the learning experience with its extensive array of pre- and post-class resources including, but not limited to, checklists, assessments, social media communities and LearnTO digital media.

According to Bill Rosenthal, chief executive officer, Logical Operations, "There has been a dramatic shift in the way we work and learn with the advancement of electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets and the introduction of social and collaboration tools. This is changing the way we work and learn. Logical Operations anticipated this change and is driving innovation with the development of LogicalCHOICE - a transformative, flexible expert-facilitated learning experience."
