Tektronix Unveils AFG3000C Series

Tektronix (News - Alert) has introduced a new family of arbitrary/function generators, named the AFG3000C Series. According to the company, these new generators are easier to use and provide several new benefits.

Today's designs are often complicated and they need various stimulus signals during testing. The AFG3000C Series Arbitrary / Function Generator supports numerous application requirements with one instrument, with 12 standard waveforms, arbitrary waveform capability, and signal impairment options.

Best-in-class performance ensures signals are accurately reproduced. AFG3000C Series Arbitrary / Function Generator is both easy to learn and easy to use, now equipped with a huge display and 25 shortcut keys.

As signals can be easily synchronized across the two outputs, AFG3000C models with two outputs offer the similar functionality of two signal generators. The AFG3000C Series is shipped with ArbExpress software to facilitate arbitrary waveform creation.

This helps PC software waveforms to be easily imported from any Tektronix oscilloscope.

“Now with nine models, the AFG3000C Series covers a broad range of applications and budgets while best-in-class performance ensures that signals are accurately reproduced," said Wei Gao, general manager, Value Signal Sources Product Line. "With the display upgrade users can more easily see that their settings are correct, allowing them to focus on the task at hand.”

Recently, the company introduced the TBS1000 Series of entry-level oscilloscopes. The company has stated that these products are affordable, reliable and full-featured tools created for a wide variety of general-purpose electronics test applications. The TBS1000 Series oscilloscopes range from $520 for a two-channel 25 MHz instrument, to $1,520 for a two-channel 150 MHz model.

With the powerful diagnostic tools they need, the new affordable TBS1000 Series allows educators to put an oscilloscope on every desktop.
