On-Site, a provider of technology for the apartment industry, has rolled out CloudFile, a new cloud storage and file management solution designed specifically for the multifamily industry.
CloudFile allows users to take files stored in filing cabinets and saved locally on computers and securely upload them to the cloud from any smart phone, tablet or desktop. CloudFile bridges the gap between legacy operations and the paper-intensive online leasing workflow, according to On-Site Director of Design Randy Jones.
“Our customers are already living in an online leasing world, but they are surrounded by offline paperwork and processes,” Jones said in a statement. “With CloudFile we bring those two worlds together by giving them a way to integrate pre-Internet legacy operations into the online leasing workflow.”
On-Site’s CloudFile reduces paper-intensive legacy operations by facilitating the online storage of all types of files, from rental documents to apartment photos to service vendor contracts.
On-Site designed CloudFile to work seamlessly with the company’s online lease automation and E-Sign electronic signature products so that lease documents can be generated electronically, executed with E-Sign and archived automatically in CloudFile, Jones added.
“CloudFile will change the way users think about file management,” he said. “Because it’s so effortless, users won’t have to think about it anymore.”
Cloud storage providers have steadily been on the rise over the last year. As security, data analysis and data protection are issues of concern, data centers and storage professionals are taking strides to improve and maintain cloud storage facilities.
In related news, Cloud Computing magazine announced the 2013 Cloud Storage Excellence Award, which will serve as a benchmark for excellence in the cloud marketplace. This award will provide industry acclaim and recognition to first-rate cloud storage provider.??
