Coyote Point Systems Announces Upgrade Program for Cisco ACE Customers

Coyote Point Systems (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise-class application delivery, load balancing and acceleration solutions, has announced an upgrade program for Cisco ACE customers.

Cisco (News - Alert) is reported to be halting development of their Application Control Engine (ACE) line of server load balancers to focus on other business opportunities.

Officials with Coyote Point Systems said the company is now offering up to 50 percent off of the Equalizer E450GX and E650GX Application Delivery Controllers to existing ACE users.

According to company officials, the benefits of switching to Coyote Point's Equalizer include a seamless transition into existing application delivery environment; faster and more reliable failover to improve network redundancy; improved SSL offload and compression; Hardened security; Improved management capabilities; IPv6 ready capabilities; and much more affordability than competitors such as F5 and A10 Networks.

"Coyote Point has been dedicated to providing rock-solid application delivery solutions for over 13 years," Bill Kish (News - Alert), founder and CTO for Coyote Point Systems, said in a statement

"Our award-winning, feature rich line of Equalizer ADCs has a combination of price and performance that is unrivaled among our competition,” he said.

He said that this trade-in program provides current Cisco users with an opportunity to transition to a robust application delivery solution that will seamlessly integrate into their current network environment while significantly lowering their total cost of ownership.

Coyote Point's suite of products includes advanced hardware and virtual ADCs, Envoy Global Server Load Balancing and VLB Advanced for proactive optimization of virtualized environments.

Earlier in July, Coyote Point Systems announced that its Equalizer Series line of Application Delivery Controllers (ADC (News - Alert)) now enables educational institutions to deliver the Blackboard Learn platform securely and at wire speed.

Using an Equalizer ADC or load balancer to front end Blackboard Learn application servers eliminates processing burden that SSL encryption/decryption tasks place on servers, delivering a sevenfold performance advantage over non-offloaded servers and ensuring nonstop availability of Blackboard Learn applications.
