Brocade (News - Alert), a company that provides fabric networking solutions, recently announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Hyve Solutions, a division of SYNNEX (News - Alert) Corporation and a provider of data center server and storage solutions.
According to officials from Hyve Solutions, the company has integrated its solutions with Brocade VCS Fabric technology to build fully integrated, pre-tested data center solutions for the big data market. The first two integrated solutions in this family are being demonstrated this week at Brocade's booth (#1101) at Supercomputing 2012 in Salt Lake City, UT, in addition to the IBM (News - Alert) booth (#1018) and WARP Mechanics booth (#1111).
"This agreement with Hyve Solutions is a significant milestone for Brocade," said Jason Nolet, vice president, Data Center Networking Group, Brocade. "Working hand-in-hand with Hyve Solutions, an industry leader in purpose-built data center server and storage solutions, Brocade can help deliver best-in-class Big Data solutions built on Brocade VCS fabrics and backed by a robust network of hardware and software partners."
"Hyve Solutions is pleased to partner with Brocade to provide customers with powerful and innovative solutions for their Big Data challenges," said Steve Ichinaga, SVP and general manager, Hyve Solutions. "Brocade's expertise, innovation and industry-leading Ethernet switches provide the high-performance networking foundation Hyve Solutions requires to deliver these Big Data solutions."
At Supercomputing 2012, Brocade will be conducting a variety of live demonstrations featuring products and solutions for the big data market and SDN protocols such as OpenFlow. Demonstrations, both in Brocade's booth and in partner booths, will include demonstrations in Brocade's booth (#1101) such as a pre-validated, highly scalable big data solution with an Apache Hadoop cluster on Brocade VCS Fabric technology, delivering maximum "no touch" scalability and high resiliency.
In addition, Brocade will be conducting live SDN demonstrations on OpenFlow and OpenStack, such as live 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) WAN traffic managed exclusively using OpenFlow on Brocade MLXe 100 GbE routers.
